The first stage of the3rd European University Games finished

  12 out of 16 Belarusian student-athletes added 8 medals in the country’s collection.

According to the results of the first stage of the European Games held in in Zagreb (Croatia) from 12th to 15th  July of the current year the Belarusian sport delegation gained in total 8 medals (1 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze).
Belarusian student-athletes who represented our 6 state universities showed good results in rowing and karate.
As for rowing:
1st place — Pilip PAVUKOU, Yahor MAZIARKIN (M2x; Polotsk State University);
2nd place — Krystsina STARASELETS, Tatsiana PIHARAVA (W2x; Belarusian State University of Physical Culture);
2nd place — Tatsiana KLIMOVICH (W1x; Francisk Skorina Gomel State University).
As for karate:
2nd place — Maryia FURSAVA (individual kata women’s tournament; Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University); 
2nd place — Artsiom KRAUTSOU (individual kumite men’s tournament -67kg; Mogilev State University of Food Technologies);
2nd place — Anastasiya DZYACHKOVA (individual kumite women’s tournament -61 kg; Belarusian State University of Physical Education);
2nd place — Dzmitry ARKHIPENKA, Renat ARKHIPENKA, Hleb ALEKSIN (team kata men’s tournament; Belarusian State University);
3rd place — Anton ISAKAU (individual kumite men’s tournament -84 kg; Polotsk Sate University).
