Taekwondo competitions at the Summer Universiade in Naples did not bring medals to the Belarusian athletes

A student of Polotsk State University Yauheni Anushkevich represented our country in weight category 58 kg (Olympic category). In the first fight Yauheni lost to the representative of Kazakhstan Aituar Shaikenov and took the final 16th place.

Ali Radwan , a student of Vitebsk State University named after  P.M Masherov, also took the 16th place in the weight category 68 kg (Olympic category), losing the first fight to the athlete from China Wenyu Lin.
Uladzislau Halizin, a student of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, managed to pass the athlete from the USA Klein Matthew Quinn in the first fight. But Uladzislau lost the second fight to the athlete from Kazakhstan Abdussamad Les. The result was the 9th place.
"The level of participants at this tournament is the level of the world championship. All the athletes are of "top" level. To be precise, almost all countries brought to Naples the main sportsman.
The guys we brought to the Universiade are currently the most rated in our country. The best we could do was to reach the 3rd-5th places. As a coach, I have no complaints about athletes. They fought to the last" commented on a coach Vitali Butovich.
