The final competitions of the Republican Universiade 2019 in cycling have ended

 On 23–25 October 2019, the final competitions of the Republican Universiade 2019 in cycling were held on the cycle track “Brest fortress – Soi”. 86 athletes from 15 institutions of higher education took part in the competition.

According to the level of sports qualification, the teams were represented by 13 masters of sport, 13 candidates master of sport, 9 first class sportsmen, 51 second class sportsmen.
The President of the jury was Nikolay Khevuk (NC) and the chief secretary – Marina Khevuk (NC).
According to the results of the final competition, the places were the following:
I place – “Belarusian State University of Physical Culture“ (211 points); 
II place – “Brest State A.S.Pushkin University” (133 points);
III place – “Vitebsk State Technological University” (61 points).
 
 
Ksenia Kasabutskaya, a student of the “Brest state A.S.Pushkin University”, won the second place with a margin of 3 points. Anna Maksimova, a student of the “Vitebsk State Technological University“, took the second place. Angelina Krasko, a student of the “Belarusian State University of Physical Culture», took third place with a margin of 6 points.
The best among men in the race was a student of the “Belarusian State University of Physical Culture” Dainis Bricis. II place was taken by Evgeny Mikhasyuk, a student of the “Brest State A.S.Pushkin University”. And the third medalist was Aliaxandr Soroko, a student of the "Belarusian State University of Physical Culture".
At the end of the elimination races, the women's results were the following:
I place – Angelina Krasko, a student of the “Belarusian State University of Physical Culture”;
II place – Anna Maksimova, a student of the “Vitebsk State Technological University”;
III place – Ksenia Kasabutskaya, a student of the “Brest State A.S.Pushkin University”.
At the end of elimination race, the men's places were the following:
I place – Dainis Bricis, a student of the “Belarusian State University of Physical Culture“; 
II place – Vladislav Timoshik, a student of the “Brest State A.S.Pushkin University”;
III place – Aliaxandr Soroko, a student of the “Belarusian State University of Physical Culture”.
 
 
The Belarusian Association of University Sports established a special prize “for the will to win”, which by the decision of the main panel of judges was awarded to Anastasia Slizh, a student of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
Uladzimir Antonchyk, Deputy Director of the “Republican Center of Physical Education and Sports for Pupils and Students” attended the closing ceremony. Winners of competitions were awarded with medals, memorable diplomas. Athletes who took first place received money prizes. The “Republican Center of Physical Education and Sports for Pupils and Students” expresses its gratitude to the Brest regional branch of the public association “Belarusian Cycling Federation” and the main panel of judges for organizing and holding the above-mentioned event at a high level, as well as higher education institutions for organizing the participation of students in competitions.
We wish all participants and organizers of the event further success, achievement of the goals in the development of student sports in the Republic of Belarus.
